As a consultant and engineer, David has deep experience in software (SaaS, HIT, HCM), cloud infrastructure and services, fin tech, communications and network services.
David is an Executive Partner at Bulger Partners, where he provides executive expertise on diligence and strategy engagements in support of the firm’s strategy consulting practice. He has acted as a lead on over 30 of the firm’s tech assessment, market assessment and market entry projects, helping clients analyze products and technology and identify untapped market opportunities and growth strategies.
David has spent over two decades as a strategy consultant, executive leader and adviser. He has worked with a wide range of organizations, from start-up to mid-market to Fortune 50 in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. David has been active in several tech sectors, including Enterprise Software Applications and Infrastructure, Healthcare IT, HCM, and Marketing Automation.
Prior to joining Bulger Partners, David was an executive with IBM where he held various strategy consulting, marketing and emerging business innovation leadership roles. David joined IBM as part of its acquisition of Mainspring, a venture-backed strategy consultancy start-up, where David helped grow the firm twenty-fold in two years. Previously David was a Principal with A.T. Kearney and Gemini Consulting and a Manager with Marakon Associates.
David has been a thought leader across his career, having published numerous articles and white papers on cloud and other tech-related issues, the integration of business and IT, and the mortgage industry. He has spoken at a variety of conferences, events and client briefings.
David holds a Master’s degree in public and private management from Yale University’s School of Management and a BS Mechanical Engineering with First Class Honors from Queen’s University at Kingston.
