David is an Executive Consultant at Bulger Partners, where he provides expertise to the firm’s strategy consulting practice by advising technology and product diligence engagements. He leverages nearly 30 years of software strategy and development experience by helping clients evaluate the strength of software architectures, technology teams, and cloud infrastructure.
David has spent over three decades in software leadership as a developer, CTO, and VP Engineering. He has specialized in start-up and high-growth environments, software and technology strategy, software organization and process evaluation and improvement, and team growth and management. As an executive and an advisor, he has worked with companies in many different software verticals, including Business and Consumer Application Software and Infrastructure, UI/UX, Graphics and Visualization, and Video Gaming.
Prior to Bulger Partners, David was the VP Engineering at Jobcase, Inc. and Senior Director, Software Development at Audible, Inc. (an Amazon company). He has also held the CTO position at software companies GenArts, Massive (which was acquired by Microsoft) and Acclaim Entertainment. David spent his early career as a software developer at the leading edge of computer graphics and animation.
David holds a BA in Computer Science from MIT and a Ph.D. from the MIT Media Lab.
