Mike MacKeen is a Senior Adviser at Bulger Partners focused on the expansion of the firm’s North American Investment Banking practice. He is also President of Westport Equity Partners, an angel investment firm. Previously, Mike was a Managing Director at the firm, where he led investment banking activities with specific global responsibility for our Private Capital Markets Group.
Mike is one of the most active and experienced bankers in direct equity private placements for the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. He has spent two decades focused on providing growth capital for entrepreneurial companies. During this time Mike has provided growth companies with over $1,000,000,000 in new equity capital. He maintains active relationships with leading growth equity, strategic and family office investors around the world.
Prior to joining Bulger Partners, Mike helped launch Revolution Partners, which he helped build into a leading investment bank serving middle market technology companies. Prior to Revolution, Mike was a key member of the Robertson Stephens Private Capital Markets Group, which became the largest and most active private placement group in the technology and healthcare industries.
Mike began his career on the team that launched Hyundai Motor Corp in the US market. He is a co-author of a book on New Product introductions where he wrote about the launch of MTV. Mike serves as a mentor and advisor to young companies and a judge in business plan competitions.
Mike holds an MBA from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. He also completed an Executive Program on Globalization at the University of Oxford. Mike received his Bachelor’s degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
